After struggling to find an affordable yet luxury leather bag for a close friend's birthday, brothers Charlie and Ali decided they would do it themselves. Using their passion for design they set out to create a timeless weekend bag that was accessable to all with hand-craftmanship that would last a lifetime.
Val Blanco's first product, The Alexander Weekend Bag, sold out within weeks as it became clear that there was no other company offering such high-end craftmanship at a fraction of the price of other brands.
By popular demand the brothers along with their newly appointed creative director, Georgia Symonds, introduced new designs, all hand-stitched, using some of Italy's highest grade leather available. However, unlike any other company the team took the bold decision to give the customers the reins to add their own unique touch to the design.
In addition to this, they decided to introduce affordable 'Gold Foil Deboss' personalisation to make their products the ultimate personalised gift, for any occasion.
This completely unique approach was an instant hit and led to the rapid growth of over twenty designs as well as many custom made products. This occurred in less than eight months as it became evident that Val Blanco's approach, offering direct access to some of the world's most skilled leather artisans at an affordable cost, was completely unique.
In recent times, Val Blanco's reputation for quality has been recognised on a national scale with particular recent interest from City based firms. This has led to the introduction of a new personalised business range.
